A Quiet Proposal at Franklin Park

We photographed this surprise proposal at Franklin Park in Columbus, Ohio.

He wanted the moment to feel private and peaceful, so we chose a quiet spot on a small island in the park.

The plan was simple. He would walk onto the island with her and get down on one knee while we stayed far away on the other side of the river, photographing the entire moment discreetly.

There was no one else around, which made the proposal feel even more personal.

She said YES.

Colorful Fall Engagement Photos

After the proposal, we continued with a romantic couple session around Franklin Park.

Fall had completely transformed the park. The trees were filled with orange, red, and golden leaves, creating beautiful color throughout the photos.

The autumn scenery gave us a completely different look from a typical green park session and made the portraits feel warm, vibrant, and romantic.

Back to Where Their Story Started

After Franklin Park, we went to Bluestone Church — the place where they first met.

It was a meaningful way to finish the session and connect their proposal with the beginning of their story together.

We photographed a few final portraits there, creating a gallery that included not only the proposal itself, but also a location that was personally important to them.
