A Simple Plan to Keep the Proposal Secret
We photographed this surprise proposal at Franklin Park in Columbus, Ohio.
Our plan was simple. We arrived first and waited nearby while the couple walked through the park like it was a normal day together.
When they reached the spot we had chosen, he took out his phone and asked us if we could take a photo of the two of them.
We started taking pictures as if we were simply helping another couple in the park.
The Moment Everything Changed
After a few photos, we asked them to stand back-to-back.
That was the signal.
While she was facing away, he quietly got down on one knee.
When she turned around, he asked her to marry him.
She said YES.
The entire plan worked exactly as we hoped, and she had no idea the proposal was coming.
Engagement Photos After the Proposal
After the surprise, we continued with a short engagement-style session around Franklin Park.
The greenery, walking paths, and natural scenery gave us several beautiful backgrounds for their first photos together as an engaged couple.
