A Simple Plan That Kept the Surprise Secret
We photographed this surprise proposal at Inniswood Metro Gardens in Westerville, Ohio.
The couple was simply walking through the park, and everything was planned in advance.
Our idea was simple: when they reached a beautiful gazebo, he would take out his phone and ask us, as if we were just other visitors nearby, if we could take a photo of the two of them.
We agreed and started taking a few pictures as if nothing unusual was happening.
Then He Got Down on One Knee
While she thought we were simply helping them take a couple of photos, he followed the plan perfectly.
A few moments later, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
She said YES.
The plan worked exactly as we hoped, and because everything felt natural, she had no idea the proposal was coming.
Engagement Photos After the Proposal
After the surprise, we continued with a short engagement-style session around Inniswood Metro Gardens.
The gazebo, greenery, pathways, and gardens gave us several beautiful backgrounds for their first photos together as an engaged couple.
