We recently photographed a beautiful surprise proposal at Inniswood Metro Gardens near Columbus, Ohio.
The couple arrived just before sunset, when the light was soft and warm and the gardens felt especially quiet and romantic.
We arrived early, prepared for the moment, and stayed discreet while waiting for them to reach the planned location.
Then he stopped, got down on one knee, and asked the most important question.
She said YES.

Sunset is one of our favorite times to photograph proposals at Inniswood Metro Gardens.
The soft golden light, flowers, greenery, and peaceful paths create a beautiful atmosphere for both the proposal and portraits afterward.
After the “yes, ” we continued with a short engagement-style session around the gardens, capturing natural portraits and their first moments together as an engaged couple.
